S.M. Wilson & Co. Case Study
S.M. Wilson & Co., a large General Contractor and Construction Manager based in St.Louis, MO., found that their software system wasn’t keeping pace with their growth. The company had been using CMAS, which had been bought by Computer Guidance Corporation, to handle the financial side of the business for well over 30 years but found it had become archaic and unsuited to the demands of a large general contractor operating in the 21st century. It didn’t support remote operations, essential to a company that averages 70 projects over 13 states, and it didn’t meet client reporting needs. It also wasn’t integrated with the project management solution, Expedition by Primavera systems. The need to find a better solution led to CMiC.
